Bringing video game characters to life on the big screen has proven difficult. Here are some actors who've tried and succeeded (and some who have not).

Disney billed Prince of Persia as the new Pirates of hte Caribbean. But the box office and critics didn't see it that way. It debuted at #3 in the box office behind Shrek Forever After and Sex and the City 2. Ouch. Not necessarily Gyllenhaal's fault.
