Kellogg fourth-quarter net income jumps
(AP) — Cereal maker Kellogg Co. said Thursday that its fourth-quarter net income rose 23 percent as its investments in its supply chain paid off and higher revenue from North America helped offset weakness elsewhere.
The maker of Frosted Flakes cereal, Eggo waffles and Keebler cookies said Thursday that it earned $232 million, or 64 cents per share, for the quarter ended Dec. 31.

An Azusa man is behind bars for allegedly trying to murder his wife by poisoning her Rice Krispies. The victim's husband, Fernando Porras, 43, accompanied his wife to Foothill Presbyterian Hospital then fled once police arrived, claiming he was taking a smoke break.
