RFK Stadium was a big state of the art stadium and baseball heaven for me when my parents would take me to see the Washington Senators play in the late 1960's and early 1970's. This time last year, many were expecting the Nationals to finish with at least 100 losses. However, they put together a solid year with what they had and got 73 wins. The Nationals have solid hitters, but most could be fading soon. Chad Cordero has drawn a lot of interest and after he put up another great season, it is bound to happen again. According to MLB.com, the Detroit Tigers have moved on from the Todd Jones closer era and may not wish to get involved in the top end of the closer market. Detroit has indicated early interest in Brandon Lyon, who spent much of last season as Arizona's closer. The D-backs hold exclusive negotiating rights with Lyon until Friday.
