Chad Johnson used to be one of my favorite fantasy football players. While Chad was not a consistent producer week to week in '06 and '07, in the end he put his numbers up for your team. Racking up close to 90 reception, 1,400 yards and 8 touchdowns, every season. This was the kind of production that made fantasy owners select Johnson year after year in the top 15 receivers on draft day. 2008 meltdown In the 2008 off-season Chad Johnson tried just about everything to get a new contract or be dealt. But in the end, head coach Marvin Lewis and Bengals management ... Read Full Story

In another sign that the Bengals are working to change their reputation as stubbornly unaggressive, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported on Thursday that the team had pursued a trade with Dallas for second-year TE Martellus Bennett. On Wednesday, Jerry Jones had mentioned vaguely that they had received an offer from another team, but had turned it down. Jones said that there was a “very firm, significant offer for one of our young players.” Bennett has rare size and athleticism, but is still being developed by the Cowboys and getting limited snaps behind starter Jason Witten. The trade would have made a lot of sense for ... Read Full Story

The self-proclaimed " Interesting One ", Chad Ochocinco , has taken the social media scene by storm. His Twitter account currently has 250,892 followers and his Ustream show has 3,353 followers and over 180,000 views. So what's the next logical step for a social media savvy NFL star? Well, now he's going mobile . Chad Ochocinco has released an iPhone app entitled the " Ochocinco Experience " (iTunes link). The app provides Chad's season stats, his Twitter stream, photos and exclusive videos. The app will set you back $4.99, which is a bit steep if you ask me, and I'm a huge Cincinnati Bengals ... Could Chad Johnson put a damper on the Chiefs trade down plans? via i.a.cnn.net When we've been talking about what the Kansas City Chiefs should do with the 3rd pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, a common scenario continues to come up that involves trading down.  We've looked at other top ten pick trades in previous drafts and concluded that two first round picks would be the starting point for any trade down scenario. The Lions , Broncos and Eagles have two first round picks.  The Lions have the 1st and 20th picks so they're not a realistic trading partner for the Chiefs.  I've ... Read Full Story

He had a perfectly good name: Chad Johnson. Yet the Cincinnati Bengals receiver wanted to have “Ocho Cinco” on his back (the Spanish translation of his jersey number (85), and a trademark he uses to hawk merchandise on his website). When the NFL wouldn’t let him, Johnson went to court in Florida last summer and had his name legally changed to Ocho Cinco. Given that level of sound reasoning, it’s not a shock that he incorrectly filled out the form. He now is legally known as Ochocinco (all one word). And the NFL is holding him to it, trying not to laugh too long ... Read Full Story
It looks like Chad Ochocinco is at it again. The Bengals wide receiver seemed to be having a little fun with refs when he tried to hand them a dollar bill, presumably to reverse a call in his favor. How much did...read more

Chad “Johnson” Ochocinco caught my eye this week making the rounds on ESPN, promoting his new book, Ocho Cinco: What Football and Life Have Thrown My Way. I’ve seen Ochocinco plenty of times, but I’d never really admired his handsome good looks. He’s got great bone structure in his face and doe-like eyes. And coming [...]
