According to People magazine, 24 actor Chad Lowe and his girlfriend welcomed their first child in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The baby girl is named Mabel Painter Lowe, and her mother is producer Kim Painter. A rep for the couple confirmed, "Everybody is healthy and happy."

The couple has been dating since January 2007, after Lowe split with his wife Hillary Swank. Remember when she forgot to thank him when she won her Boys Don't Cry Oscar? Bad omen.

Lowe and Painter announced the pregnancy in January, when Chad described his girlfriend's reaction to the news: "She woke up with a very big smile on her face and I knew exactly what that meant."

Congrats to the happy couple!
