Rob Lowe credits wife with dream home’s design

Rob Lowe has revealed his California mansion was inspired by the “Old World charm” of America’s East Coast and credits his wife with its stunning design.

The Brothers and Sisters star, who hails from Virginia, built an East Coast-style historic home on six panoramic acres of land in Santa Barbara, California.

Lowe helped design the 20-room, Georgian-style home with his wife Sheryl, which they share with their sons, Matthew, 17, and John, 14.

“I’ve always been drawn to a historic, East Coast American aesthetic,” the 46-year-old actor says in the latest issue of Architectural Digest magazine.
