Chad Pennington prone to shoulder injuries

Chad Pennington, the dolphins quarterback has had about 3 injuries on his right shoulder, has left the Sundays’ game that he was supposed to have with Tennessee.

Chad Pennington left the game holding his right arm, to his side while it was bent at the elbow. On the first day of the game, Jason Babin, who is at the Tennessee defensive end dropped Chad Pennington while the quarterback threw toward Anthony Fasano. Then Chad Pennington stayed in one more play, after throwing a short one that Brain Hartline took for a nineteen yard again.

Before the next play could start, dolphins called a timeout and Chad Pennington left the game. Chad Pennington has had a history of several shoulder injuries, the most recent one being a season-ending injury in a 3rd game that he encountered in 2009.

According to Dan Henning, the offensive co-coordinator of dolphins stated ““You can’t change the whole team,” “I think (Henne’s benching) sends a message to the team that 4-4 is not what we want. You take on a guy (in Pennington) who might bring in a different spark and attitude”

“Maybe he does, maybe he doesn’t. But obviously Tony thinks he can.”

Chad Pennington has tried to say all the positive things about the situation..he has had a close friendship with Henne. Chad Pennington’s energy was quite evident during practice when he performed his own dance moves to Eminem’s songs lose yourself that blared over the speakers.

Chad Pennington has a certain comfort level with Henning, who was his 1st BFL offensive coordinator with the NY jets. What Chad Pennington lacks is his arm strength which can be compensated for his knowledgeable efficiency in his 327 attempts, Chad Pennington has had only 9 interceptions.

Chad Pennington can be considered a good enough quarterback who can get u beaten in the 1st round of the playoffs. Now at this point, Dolphins can only hope that Henne rebounds.

“There’s no reason why this guy can’t be a good quarterback in this league,” Henning stated about Henne. “He’s got the tools, he’s got the work ethic to the nth degree and he’s a very tough guy. He’ll come back from this.”
