Subhas Chandra Bose born in january 23rd 1897 was popularly known as netaji was one of the most respected politicians of modern india . He was elected twice president for indian national congress but later he resigned having conflicts with gandhi . He believed gandhis non violence will not give india the freedom. He along with his supporters started a new party and named it as all india forward bloc. He continued to call for the full and immediate independence of India from British rule with his principles. He is believed to have died on 18 August 1945 in a plane crash over Taiwan. However, contradictory evidence exists regarding his death in the accident.
