Can ILB Channing Crowder step up his game?

I think he can, but my impressions of him so far is that he is just a better-than-average linebacker. Sure, the potential is there for him to step it up, but can he live up to the expectations that Saban had when he drafted him as the heir-apparent to Zach Thomas? While it is unfair to expect him to play even close to Miami's best linebacker in its history, he has some obvious holes in his game.

He's a very hard hitter that can draw the "high fives", but he also missing tackles at times that he should be making. Also, I have not been that impressed with him in pass coverage. I expected more when he was graded at first round talent but a big risk due to behavioral problems at Florida where he played MLB. That is why noone wanted to touch him until the Dolphins did at the top of the 3rd round. If Crowder can play more consistent then the loss of Zach will not be as noticeable as it was last year. If he cannot then you can believe that Parcells will is all ready working on his replacement.



Patriots Cheated vs Everyone Cheated.

What I hate hearing about as much as hearing that the Patriots cheated is hearing people say "everyone cheats". The Patriots redefined cheating. Belichick abused the injury list prior to games and he video-taped other teams signals ... things that other teams did not do.

Former Patriot player, Ross Tucker, said when he asked veteran Troy Brown why the Patriots were violating the rules, Brown said, "Every team in the league does that." Tucker said he told Brown he'd been on three other teams, and all three didn't do that. And Belichick can't claim he misunderstood this rule.
