A comic book artist named Asako finds it difficult to work when her cat Saba suddenly dies. However, with the help of a new kitten that shows up named Gou-Gou, she's able to get over the loss of Saba and eventually feel inspired to continue her comic book work. When Asako gets the horrible news that she's been diagnosed with cancer, she is devastated at first, but soon finds some new perspective.
