Looks like the transition at "World News" from Charles Gibson to Diane Sawyer will be relatively seamless -- the show's title changes the next broadcast after Gibson departs. Charles Gibson announced Tuesday that his official departure date is Friday, Dec. 18. In just over two weeks, Charles Gibson is signing off from the "World News" desk for the last time.
