Sen. Charles Grassley was asked by a reporter about his amendment that would prohibit a proposed commission to recommend ways to reform the criminal justice system from even discussing the possibility of decriminalizing any drugs currently considered illegal. Former Iowa first lady Christie Vilsack (D) told the Des Moines Register she will not seek the 2010 Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate.
