Carolina Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on his right knee Friday, according to general manager Marty Hurney.
The Panthers medical staff decided to schedule a “minor clean out” according to Hurney because Johnson recently developed some swelling around his knee.
Right now, Johnson’s status for the Panthers’ OTA’s on May 22nd is up in the air, but he should be good to go for training camp.
