Mr. Craig Schley recently announced that he is running for Congress in Harlem, against long-term incumbent Charles Rangel. Excerpt: "Politically, it is certainly the most uphill of uphill battles. But the Herculean level of the challenge does not seem to faze Craig Schley in the slightest. Mr. Schley, 44, a community advocate and former model, has collected about 6,000 signatures on petitions to qualify him to run as an independent candidate against Representative Charles B. Rangel, a Harlem Democrat who has been in Congress since he defeated Adam Clayton Powell Jr. in 1970. He announced his candidacy on Wednesday at a news conference in Harlem standing in front of a statue of Powell."
