Charles R Mackintosh was born on June 7, 1868, in Glasgow. The celebrated architect was one amongst eleven siblings living in the Towhead area of Glasgow, close to Glasgow Cathedral. He studied at the Glasgow School of Art. It is important to understand his work and his dislike of Victorian style of architecture.
