What was supposed to be a showdown of NFC quarterbacks Brett Favre, and Tony Romo turned out to be nothing more than a half-assed comeback attempt on Green Bay's part. Cornerback Charles Woodson scooped up the ball — and lifted the spirits of the Green Bay Packers’ suddenly sagging offense. Woodson’s 57-yard fumble return in the third quarter gave the Packers the go-ahead touchdown in a 17-14 victory over the Washington Redskins at soggy Lambeau Field on Sunday. “It was a big play today,” Woodson said. I was stunned. Yes, Brett Favre still can throw. What a great game as the GreenBay Packers are back in the hunt for the playoffs. Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings caught an 82-yard touchdown bomb on the first play from scrimmage in overtime.
