The search committee believes that an avalanche is to blame for Fowler's death. They fear that his climbing partner Chris may have also been a victim of the avalanche. Pretty amazing that the search party was able to find Fowler, given how little information existed on his whereabouts. Charlie Fowler was attempting a mountaineering adventure with his climbing partner Christine Boskoff.
