The body found on Genyen Peak Wednesday has been confirmed as that of Norwood climber Charlie Fowler.

Fowler was climbing in Sichuan Province, China, with Christine Boskoff, who has a home in Norwood and a business in Seattle. The pair has been missing since Dec. 4, when they failed to return home to the United States.

Search teams located Fowler's body yesterday at approximately 17,000 feet. His death was tentatively attributed to an avalanche. He was not wearing a harness, nor was he roped, the search committee reported in a news release.
