New SEO approach

Well, new to me anyway.

I spent some time today on Google's keyword program and found some interesting things.

You can use your keywords and play with that, or allow Google to check your website and offer keywords. I did both.

I have identified about 16 key phrases that I want to focus on this year. I then went to Google's main page and searched each one. I went as far as 10 pages in on each search to see if I was already showing up.

Of the 16 phrases, you will find me 12 times. I am within the top 100 of webpages on 6 of those searches (sometimes twice, but I only count as once)! 4 of them in the top 5, and 2 of them made it to the top of second page!

What was even more encouraging was that most of the links to my site, were actually links to me on ActiveRain (4 links) and Localism (5 links)! My own site was only on there 3 times. There was one from another mortgage related website.

So I now know I have work to do, and have a focus on where to do it. Is it worth the work? Heck yeah! I have people calling me at least once every 2 weeks that found me online. Now if I can get that to once a week, and eventually once a day, add that to the face to face time of real prospecting and 2008 will be sweet!

Anyone else got ideas on SEO improvements for 2008?

Here is some shameless SEO plugs: If you are seeking loans in Charlotte, maybe its because you are considering a relocation to Charlotte North Carolina. Charlotte Real Estate North Carolina is still solid. Now is the time to begin your Charlotte Real Estate Search and then apply for a mortgage in Charlotte NC. There are a lot of homes in Charlotte that are available. Yes, that means you have plenty of opportunity to find Charlotte North Carolina Homes for Sale. While there are a ton of homes for rent in Charlotte NC, you really recommend checking out the Charlotte Real Estate Market. You may want to consider the Ballantyne Real Estate market as well, commonly misspelled as Ballentyne Real Estate. Either way, if you are seeking a home for sale in Charlotte NC, you will want to speak with a mortgage broker in Charlotte to get pre-approved. You may also want to consider the Union County NC real estate market, for which you could also use an FHA broker in Charlotte or even a lender that offers Matthews Mortgage Loans. After all, Matthews seems to be in Union County too!

Thank you!
