Iron chef contest In America

It all started in Japan. Most of the invention and out of the world things you find coming from Japan. So also this most innovative cooking competition is a Japanese creation. Iron chef Contest is the original Japanese cooking competition which was originally produced by Fuji TV. The title of “Iron Chef” is derived from the original title “Ironmen of Cooking”. The competition in this TV series is between the professional cooks therefore the title was given as Iron chef contest . It’s actually a fierce competition between the professional cooks to prove their talent in cooking. The excitement in this show is nonstop and keeps you glued to the TV till the end of the show. It became very popular game show in Japan.

People experienced the thrill while watching this show. This show is in Japanese and there are English dubbed series also which actually made the show known and famous in America. This concept of the show was picked up in America as “Iron Chef America”. The aureate chairman Takeshi Kaga hosts this show Iron chef contest. This show has an eccentric touch from the other game shows. In the beginning of each contest Kaga narrates his story of how he came up with the idea of this Iron chef contest. He also says the Kitchen Stadium where the contest is held is come out much better than he had ever dreamed of.

You must have read in many places that Iron chef contest is a one hour contest where the resident iron chef competes with the contestant chef. They are given a secret ingredient just before the start of the competition and the chefs have to prepare at least 5 dishes using that secret ingredient. They have to be fast and alert. This whole competition make the kitchen stadium look like one battle field where the chefs are fighting for time and working with their winning recipes. While the host of the show Kaga is amusing audiences with his witty comments. The Fuji TV has aired 300 episode of Iron Chef contest which came to an end in September 24, 1999, with occasional special shows that were aired till 2002.
