A hoax that “Burlesque” star, CHER just died has spread like wildfire on Twitter, thanks in part to KIM KARDASHIAN who did her share to fan the flames of false news.

Cher‘s supposed death is just one of the many hoaxes of celebrity demises that’s been spreading through social media channels, but this one takes the particular cake because Kim Kardashian just happened to cotton on to the rumor, and made things worse by spreading what appeared to be concern over the 65-year-old Oscar winner’s passing throughout her network of 12.8 million followers…

“Did I just hear Cher has passed away? Is this real? OMG.”

Kim tweeted a few hours ago.

“I hope this is a twitter joke and not true. I don’t see it on the news anywhere. I’m praying its not true…”

Her millions of followers took up the cry, of course, and wouldn’t you just know it… “RIP Cher” started trending on Twitter today.

Typical of Kim Kardashian. Is she trying, in her own transparently spiteful way, to get back at Cher for wanting to “drop kick those KARDASHIAN b*tches down the freeway” when her beloved only daughter son, Chaz Bono was competing against Rob Kardashian in “Dancing With The Stars?”

We wouldn’t put it past her, really. But wouldn’t it be loads better if she would use her Twitter account and millions of followers to spread good like Justin Bieber does?

Cher, bless her heart, isn’t one to take offense at reports of her death, because she sent a series of tweets detailing her life in the “hereafter”:

“Well here i am tweeting from the HereAfter! Its very Blue up here & thank God they gave me a view of the Sea,Palm trees & a Balinese house”

She quipped on her account.

“Lets tweet Later ’cause even though im JUST a Spirit im Hungry!!! Going 2 have a Tostada salade ! WONDER What they’re serving Down THERE?”

You can’t fault Cher for being without a sense of humor, even with someone like Kim Kardashian dogging her tail, and because:

“LOVELIES,.Im not going ANYWHERE TILL I FINISH THIS FKNG ALBUM ! The ONLY RIP I KNOW HOW 2 DO IS “RIP IT UP! KICK ASS & TAKE NO PRISONERS !”

Way to go, Cher! We know whose prominent behind you’re referring about kicking, too…
