Chess has dialled up a bumper rise in annual profits and remains on the takeover trail as founder and chief executive David Pollock looks to build a £100m-turnover enterprise.
Chess, based at Alderley Edge, Cheshire, posted pre-tax earnings of £2.33m for the year to the end of April, up from £1.31m in the previous 12 months.
