A community portal about Chester Bennington with blogs, videos, and photos. According to Wikipedia.org: Chester Charles Bennington is an American musician. He's best known for being the lead vocalist in the nu metal band Linkin Park (and the oldest member). He also has a side-project called Snow White Tan. He joined Linkin Park in 1998, replacing Mark Wakefield and after being the vocalist for Grey Daze.
Linkin Park Rocks My Socks
There's only a few musicians/musical groups that I listen to in which I love all of their CDs and all of their songs. Bowling for Soup is one of them and Linkin Park is the other. I've seen numerous BFS concerts back in the day (they always played the club scene, not big arenas) but never Linkin Park.........until last night.
My friend Kevin and I made our way up to the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, NH for the concert last night. First off, Verizon Wireless Arena - YOU SUCK. Not only was there no parking available - we had to circle for 10-15 minutes and finally ended up finding a deserted street to park on. In addition that, it was raining last night and you confiscated my umbrella at the entrance.
But it was all worth it. Linkin Park was phenomenal. Words cannot describe how happy I am now that I've been able to see them in concert. Happy enough to blow $30 on a T-shirt and not care. That's a big deal for me. Who the heck pays $30 for a t-shirt?
They played a good mix of their new stuff along with their old stuff. Personally, I prefer their old stuff - the songs that are louder, angrier, and overall involve more of Chester Bennington screaming.
Click (here) to get their cd's. You won't regret it. They rock my socks. My favorite is "Collision Course", they're collaboration with Jay-Z. I would have given anything to go to that concert back in the day.
