Chevy Volt runs out of juice in the Lincoln Tunnel

by Clifford F. Thies

Liberals think the Chevy Volt has a low carbon footprint because the energy that makes it go comes out of an outlet. Not from a nasty internal combustion engine. Liberals, unable to comprehend things like electricity, don't know that the Chevy Volt has a carbon footprint twice or more of a conventional automobile.

And just because the Volt requires a government subsidy of about $250,000 per car is of no concern to liberals. That's because government money, like electricity, comes out of a magic place. Not out of taxpayers' pocketbooks. And, besides how can any car with a sticker price of $47,000 need another quarter million in subsidies. That's simply impossible.

And as for driving a Volt, everybody knows you don't buy a Volt to drive it. You buy a Volt to say you're saving the planet. For driving, that's why you have a conventional car. After all, Volt only has an advertised range of 30 miles. What's that good for? You might run out of juice on a bridge or in the middle of freakin' tunnel. How would that look?

Well, it wouldn't look too good.
