Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Deli owner's secret to chewy homemade chocolate chip cookies
Chocolate Chip Cookies and Cheese Curls
No, it isn't a recipe, it is my bad habit. I can consume these in mass quanitities. Then of course the guilt sets in, yada yada. Ok, they aren't the best things to eat. I know that, but when you have a craving for something seriously evil and diet crushing, go the full way. Who wants a reduced fat chocolate chip cookie? Who wants a "baked" cheese curl? Yuck. If I am going to screw up a diet, I do it right.
You would think that after all of those binges I would be a balloon now. I am positive I have gained more than ten pounds over the past year from loss of junk food control. I don't share, so, that means that I am eating them all by myself. Not at once mind you. I can drag it out over a couple of days. Having grown up worrying about my weight, I wasn't one to lose control often. I got made fun of plenty, believe me, I can still remember some of the names I was called. But for some reason when you get in a marriage of over 10 years and you have had kids, you just don't care as much. I mean I still excercise and all, have to, want to eat more cookies! But after having twins, things just don't sit the same.
So, I had a doctor appointment today. Not looking forward to seeing the numbers on the scale. Who does? Our scale at home and broken a while back so I had no idea how I was doing. I stepped up on the scale and held my breath. She moved the little thingie, and then moved it again. Guess what! I hadn't gained an ounce in a years time! How did that happen? All those regrets of the junk I had consumed. I have a serious sweet tooth and it does get the better of me. Needless to say, the doctor was even amazed at how my weight had stayed the same. So you know of course I probably just jinxed myself and will gain twenty pounds or something over the next year.
