Cheyenne Cherry Arrested for Roasting Ex-Roommate's Kitten Alive
Some things you can chalk up to kids being kids and some things you have to chalk up to kids being sociopathic criminals. Cheyenne Cherry seems to be a case of the latter.

Cherry was arrested Thursday for allegedly killing her former roommate's kitten by throwing it in the oven and roasting the poor animal alive. The New York Daily News reports that Cherry confessed to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. "I hate cats," the girl is reported to have said.
From the sound of it Cherry ransacked Valerie Hernandez's apartment -- slashing the furniture, stealing DVDs and food, and even throwing bleach on the walls.

Cherry told authorities that she and her accomplice "thought we would play a joke on Valerie and mess up her apartment."
The duo bolted from the apartment with DVDs and packages of noodles, ASPCA assistant director Joe Pentangelo said.
"She didn't want to hear the cat crying and scratching at the oven door," Pentangelo said.
Firefighters found the female cat's remains smoldering in the oven after neighbors complained of smoke coming from Hernandez's apartment.
"My brother came to my house and said, 'I think food is burning,'" said Hernandez's next-door neighbor Jannetssie Genau, 24. Cherry was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, burglary, arson, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief before being released to the custody of her mother.
