Broadway Star Cheyenne Jackson Headed to '30 Rock'?

(Getty Images)more pics »Rumors are flying that Cheyenne Jackson, known to fan's of the Great White Way as one of the more accomplished Broadway actors around, may be joining Emmy-winning sitcom 30 Rock for the show's upcoming fourth season.

Online reported they'd been hearing chatter that Jackson was about to join the cast as a permanent or semi-permanent member of the show, and that he's already been shooting episodes with cast and crew. NBC pseudo-shot down the rumor, telling E!, "Unfortunately, at this time, the show is not commenting on any castings. Sorry about that."
Still, showrunner and star Tina Fey did recently drop hints that the show would be hiring for the love-interest of Jane Krakowski. The Tony-winning Krakowski, no stranger to the stage, did co-star with Jackson in a recent staging of Damn Yankees. So for now, we'll say this rumor has some legs behind it.
