The Bears are about ready to report to training camp for the 2007 NFL season. We are returning as NFC North champions for the first time since we shuffled in 1985. We won't be overlooked this year, and everyone will be gunning to take us down. Perhaps that's why every team to lose the Superbowl in the past 5 years has a combined record of 33-47. Ouch. Flashback to the 06-07 NFL Season. I was flipping channels the other day and I happen to come across the infamous Bears vs Cardinals game from Monday Night Football in 2006. This is the game where the Bears managed to win with no offensive scoring. This is where Rex turned the ball over 6 times by himself. So the Bears were in the Super Bowl this year, finally….my team made it back for the first time since I was a little boy. The Bears had 9 draft picks this year, and they have already signed 7 of them. The only unsigned players are 1st rounder TE Greg Olsen, and 2nd rounder DE Dan Buzuin. Last year, the Bears were the first NFL team to get all their draft picks signed, and they are well on their way to accomplishing that again.
