Lord Browne has decided to step down as CEO of BP. I'm personally sorry to see him go. I had the chance to meet Browne 2 years ago. He's an extremely impressive man and is surprisingly "environmentally' minded. He has been a leader of BP's move into more sustainable energy and business practices. I wish him the best. BP Norway has awarded Aker Kværner a contract for tow and installation of a floating production storage and offloading unit (FPSO). The FPSO will be installed at the Skarv field in the North Sea. The total contract value is approximately NOK 300 million. The scope of work includes pre-installation of the 15 leg mooring system, tow from South Korea to Norway and transportation and installation of the FPSO.
