  Feeding time is particularly interesting in my house because I have 3 different dogs. Ghia is the first to eat for some reason. After putting down 3 different bowls the dogs like to fight over just one. Teacup Chihuahuas can be very aggressive around there food. Which leads to the question, how often should I feed my teacup Chihuahua? Well, daily of course yet every dog is different. I recommend you feed your friend early in the mornings and of in the afternoon. Please do not feed them too late because the problems can increase during the night. Now, let us get one thing out of the way. Your dog is very small, so this means he or she has very little organs. This means they cannot hold their bathroom activities very long because as we know it becomes painful. During the trial and error period of the feeding process make sure to regulate the bathroom patterns. Dogs pick up and learn best with pattern behaviors for training.

  The food for your teacup Chihuahua will change through out the years. Puppy food, young adult, adult, elder pup, due to this we will have to go through this process a few times. Your Chihuahua is very intelligent and the difference in diets may not be even noticed by the owner. Please discuss any food brands and changes with your vet. I have learnt wet foods do not work well with Chihuahuas. Although, this can be the brand of food or my puppies. Over feeding your teacup Chihuahua can have many health issues. The stature and small sizes makes it difficult for your friend to hold the extra weight. Please do not do this, it is abuse. The Chihuahuas depends on our judgment for a long and healthy life.
