Chihuahua
puppy with eye issue?
I have three Chihuahuas too and one just gave birth to some a while back and the same thing happened to them but it went away on its own as the dogs got older I would say don’t worry about it it should be fine in a few days hope it helpsThis is normal with puppies who are just starting to open their eyes. Their eyes have to adjust to being open. Its perfectly normal. I breed Purebred Chihuahua’s for over 20+ years now.Perfectly normal. That being said, chis are a breed that is prone to glaucoma. When they go to the vet, have the vet check. Just in case.I have three Chihuahua pups that are 13 days old.
The smallest one of the three just opened her eyes two days ago.
Her right eye is dark brown, but her left eye looks grey.
It looks like a elderly dog with cataracts eyes.
I will be taking her to the vet on Monday, but I am worried.
Could she be blind? she is just to young to even try and track eye movement yet.
Has anyone else encountered this before?
Her eyes are clear and not watery or anything else. Its just glazed grey color.
The other two pups have not opened their eyes yet, to even compare to them either.
