Now I consider myself a nudist since I run around with no clothes 99% of the time. Frankly, I only need a coat or aweater if there's a freak blizzard or something. Why? because I am furry. And when I say I'm furry, I mean really very furry. Mama says it's the Chow Chow in my background. Whatever it is, suffice it to say that even naked, I'm covered if you know what I mean. However, get a load of this dog breed! Until I saw a Chinese Crested dog, I guess I didn't know what naked really... Read Full Story
Meet Noid, he's a sculpture I recently did. He is a Chinese Crested and his mommy wanted the sculpture to look like the caricature he's sitting on in the first photo so I tried to do a cross between the real dog and the cartoon dog.

I just recently put this art tile pendant into my shop. The art tile depicts a Chinese Crested. The tile is hand-sculpted from a beautiful lavender polymer clay, etched and highlighted with a dark purple paint. At the top center of the tile is a large Swarovski crystal charm. The pendant hangs from two bails on either side of the tile. This tile can either be hung on the wall or worn as a pendant. Size is approximate: 2-3/4" long top to bottom 1-3/4" wide

chinese crested hairless
The Chinese Crested dog has a delicate and fine-boned body. The breed comes in two types-the hairless and powder puff. The hairless variety has no coat aside from the silky tufts on his head, tail, and feet -which means no hairs on carpet.
The look of the Powderpuff varies according to how it is groomed . When its fur is completely grown out on its face, it strongly resembles a terrier; however, the Powderpuff is usually shaved around the snout as a standard... Read Full Story

Manchester Terrier
Toy Manchester Terrier
Chihuahua
Chinese Crested Dog
Italian Greyhound
These are the dog breeds that have a ranking of four out of five for heat tolerance.
Dogs I would definitely stay away from... Read Full Story

There are other varieties of hairless dogs throughout the world, most of them probably began as mutations but were gradually developed as a specific breed. Some examples of other hairless dogs are breeds such as the Mexican Hairless and the Peruvian Inca. The breed is a rarity, although it is becoming more popular in the United States and was accepted by A.K.C. into the Toy Group in 1991. The Chinese... Read Full Story
I'd like everyone to meet Blue, an adorable Chinese Crested. I have to say the Chinese Crested is one of my favorite dogs to create and Blue was no exception, I mean look at that face. So when Blue's mommy asked me to make a bead for her I was more than happy to do so. You see Blue's mom makes the most adorable sweaters for pups and she wanted to dress up one of those sweaters with a little charm. The photo below shows the sweater and who's the greatest model, why Blue of course. His mommy... Read Full Story
