Chita Rivera Honored by League of Professional Theatre Women (Photos) – Playblog
The League of Professional Theatre Women presented Tony Award leader Chita Rivera with its 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award at a League’s Awards Luncheon, hold Dec. 9 at Sardi’s.
The award, that honors women exhibiting model use to a theatre, was presented by Rivera’s daughter, singer/dancer/choreographer Lisa Mordente.
The recipients of The Lee Reynolds Award (Pulitzer Prize-winning stage player Lynn Nottage) and The Josephine Abady Award (Kamilah Forbes, inventive executive of a annual three-week Hip-Hop Theatre Festival) were also respected at a luncheon.
