Chloé Fall/Winter Ready-to-wear 2010/11

Perhaps it’s the golden rays she sends out each season at Chloé, I’m actually warming up to Hannah MacGibbon – Creative Director of the French Luxury Fashion House. Well… It’s not the most avant-garde show I have ever seen, but nonetheless, it’s delightful and it’s desirable! With this winning combination, I am confident that Chloé’s financial matters will be enjoying quite a pleasant ride in the forthcoming fall.
Ms. MacGibbon sent Brazilian model Raquel Zimmermann out as first and last face of the Fall/Winter 2010 show. Dressed head to toe in champagne gold with naturally wavy hair and face sun-kissed and glowing in nuances of autumn leaves, Ms. Zimmermann made a lasting and inconceivably mind-blowing impression: subtle felinity and untamed sensuality rock to its core at Chloé.
Softness is contrasted with the precision in sharp masculine tailoring as well as the comfort and the ease of luxury sportswear, while Ms. MacGibbon once again brings retro into the realm of coolness, as she works with her favourite palette of beiges and denim à la vintage 70s style. The finished looks were not only all practical and wearable, but also glimmering in sophisticated allure that could illuminate all corners of a room with its indifferent aura

Pieces that I love from this collection are the baggy pants with the cowboy fringes, which Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen wore at the show; the blouses with a little tie, especially the one made in dotted cravat silk as worn by Hanne Gaby Odiele; shirts with the playful clown-collar, especially the one in denim as worn by the pretty Polish model Kasia Struss; and last but not least, the total black leather girl look as worn by Magdalena Frackowiak.

Although I am quite fond of this fall/winter 2010 collection, I am still unable to speak of Chloé without mentioning Paulo Melim Andersson’s name. I mean, what TNT would the sensational Swedish designer insert into the new collection to make it even more fresh, more dynamic and just more terrific all around, if he is still at Chloé? Well… God, please feel free to answer that question!

Nonetheless, the new line hits store worldwide mid August 2010. Mark it on your Calender and don’t miss anything out.
