Many college students, when coming to college, are faced with the predicament of what laptop to buy to help them through their years. Popular models include laptops like Dell or Mac, but a great option for college students, is a Lenovo laptop. Being a college student myself, I know firsthand what a college student does and doesn't need to spend thousands of dollars on with unnecessary features.
When a college student considers laptops for college, a Lenovo laptop is not only durable and worth the money, but it also comes with a lot of features just as the other laptops do. The best Lenovo laptop for college, in my opinion, would have to be have to be the Lenovo Thinkpad X61. College students do not want to carry around something that weighs over 10 pounds in their backpack when they are walking across campus to their classes, and the Lenovo Thinkpad X61 weighs only 3 pounds. I personally like this because it is less than my own MacBook Pro, a little more than the iPad I use to carry to class, but still comes with a fully functional keyboard. It isn't too outrageously priced, and Lenovo laptops are known for their durability, a protective casing.
The best Lenovo laptop for college would have to be this Thinkpad model because of the light weight, but also because it is so durable for its size. Being a college student myself, I know that laptops we college students use can be thrown into our backpacks, or slammed around not by purpose, so it is a great advantage when the laptop is built to handle such circumstances. The Intel Processor is very fast, perfect for college students that have to run multiple programs at one time as well. One of the common complaints about a Lenovo, however, is that the body style isn't like that of any of its rival laptops, but, personally, I would sacrifice just a little on the appearance when it comes to how powerful, durable, and light this Thinkpad X61.
Options of laptops for college can range from hundreds to thousands of dollars, and sometimes overwhelm a college student and his or her family. However, if he or she wants, speed, power, portability and function, the Lenovo Thinkpad X61 is a great decision for any college student.
