Choosing a Pre-School

at 1180 American Legion Highway (Route 177), is celebrating its 20th year providing Montessori education to students from pre-school to Grade 8. On June 8, from 7 to 11 p.m., the school is holding its eighth annual Night Out at White’s of Westport.  

Employees are still responsible for footing the bill for the care, which is roughly double the fee that non-profit daycares are allowed to charge. Infant spaces at Kids and Company will be about $70 per day and pre-school spaces will be $40 a day.

WE need to get our pre-school policy right. It matters to thousands of parents who rely on quality pre-school education and care to continue working and make a valuable contribution to our economy. More importantly, it matters because our children’s early education is the bedrock of our future economic potential.  

The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee, a Standing Committee of Tynwald, has decided to investigate the Department of Education and Children’s policy on pre-school education following a referral from ten Members of Tynwald.  

Little Steps Learning Center now has open enrollment for a summer pre-school program. Located at 10 New Driftway in Scituate, Little Steps Learning Center is a Scituate family owned and operated early learning center.  

Parents of kindergarten or pre-school students have until May 4 to register their child at Silver Springs Elementary School. Registration hours are from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
