Fans Weigh In On Rihanna's 'S&M' VideoBarbadian pop music icon Rihanna takes on the “eurodance” trend with her fourth single from her fifth studio LP Loud and that’s not where the experimenting ends. The singer’s new video for her latest release “S&M” takes several pointed jabs at the media and showcases a little more boldness than expected from the hit-making 22-year old.
From the video’s onset, Rihanna playfully parodies the paparazzi and several media headlines surrounding her short but bursting career. An orgy of the senses, Rihanna’s already well-known sex symbol status is played up to the ninth degree and there is also a cameo from celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton who plays an obedient “pet” to the singer who commands Hilton via dog collar.
Fans Weigh In On Rihanna's 'S&M' VideoAs mentioned before, Rihanna shows up the media in clever fashion with a bound and gagged note-taking media corps scribbling notes that read directly from the gossip blog headlines that have plagued the beloved singer. The mock media corps can be seen writing notes that read “Bad Boys” and a questioning “Sex Tape” note. Another swipe at the media in the reporters’ notes “Princess of the Illuminati” makes an obvious reference to the swirled about rumors of Rihanna and her mentor Jay-Z’s supposed involvement in clandestine activity.
