Red Wings player mentor and USA Hockey legend Chris Chelios joined the ranks of the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame (at a ceremony held in Chicago) on Monday night, and he did so in classic Chelios fashion—with equal amounts of genuine and incredible humility and an almost gleeful willingness to admit that his unbridled passion for the game included a...Read Full Story

Chris Chelios delivered about an anecdote a minute while attending Thursday's retirement news conference for Detroit Red Wings defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom. Highlights of Chelios' cathartic confessions: He has a thing for Detroit captains.

Aerys Sports alerted us to the existence of this video, allegedly taken during live band karaoke night at Stanley's, an establishment in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. It's Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder and retired NHL defenseman Chris Chelios pairing up for a rendition of The Band's "The Weight," with recently-retired Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood looking on. All three...
