Married Life

People have been mentioned this movie from earlier this year. "Married Life" comes from an adaptation from co-writer and director, Ira Sachs with Oren Moverman from the novel, "Five Roundabouts to Heaven."

Set in 1949, "Married Life" tells the story of Harry Allen (Chris Cooper) that is unhappy with his marriage to Pat (Patricia Clarkson). Pat is a very sexually confident woman, but Harry wants a woman that could be devoted to him unconditionally. He finds someone to fill that void with Kay (Rachel McAdams).

Harry confinds with his best friend, Richard (Pierce Brosnan) about his intentions of leaving Pat. He believes that Pat would be so devastated with the news that he decides to poison her.

It's a ridiculous situation. I know, but I thought that it was quite effective that you feel sympathy for a man that is unscrupluous.

You have to suspend belief to enjoy this film with its lush scenery and gorgeous costumes.
