Bryant McKinnie wanted out
The Vikings released offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie today after he showed up to Training Camp overweight and out of shape. He was placed on the Non Football Injury list on Monday, and was rumored to be traded or released prior to today.
TMZ writes that McKinnie asked the Vikings to release him so he had time to sign with another team before the season starts. The Vikings said it was a tough decision but one that ultimately was best for the football team.
