via www.buccaneers.com Primetime and I both have a feeling that the Kansas City Chiefs' GM search will end this week so we're trying to get these profiles out as fast as we can.  Adding to the plethora of GM candidates we've already profiled , 37-year old Mark Dominik is currently the Director of Pro Personnel for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a position he's held in some capacity since 2000. Mark Dominik is from the Midwest and has a Chiefs' connection. He grew up in Lawrence, KS, graduated from Kansas University and then became a scouting intern for the Chiefs in 1994. A year and ... For the first time since being canned by the Buccaneers, “Chucky” is speaking out. Former Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden has made his first public comments since Tampa Bay made the surprise move to fire him on January 16th. Gruden says it’s not a matter of if he will coach again, it’s a matter of when. “Whether it’s the NFL, college, high school or, maybe, I’ll just be the best damn flag football coach in the history of Florida. I’m now head of the FFCA — Fired Florida Coaches Association,” Gruden said. The fiery coach has been taking a beating from some former players, as ... Read Full Story

The NFC South became a little clearer today as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat division rival, the New Orleans Saints, 23 to 20. New Orleans had taken the first game of the series in week one with a 24 to 20 victory in the Superdome but this time the game took place on a wet and windy day in Tampa. Tampa Bay has been undefeated at home this season, now with six wins for a record of 9 and 3. New Orleans was hoping to grab a playoff spot after a decisive victory on Monday Night Football against conference rivals and playoff contender, Green ... Read Full Story

Eerily similar to last weeks defeat the Kansas City Chiefs again lose a very winnable game, falling short to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-27 in overtime. Everything that could have went right for the Chiefs in the first 27 minutes of the game did, starting with the coin toss. Bucs coach Jon Gruden won the coin toss but opted to defer and allow the Chiefs to receive first. The decision would backfire as Tyler Thigpen methodically drove the Chiefs down the field on a 12 play 69 yard drive that was capped off by seven yard touchdown pass from Thigpen to Dwayne Bowe. Then ... Read Full Story

“Have we failed? Yes. Have I failed? Yes. Am I going to give up? No way,”, “Am I discouraged? No way. I’m not.” Those were the words of Detroit Lions Head Coach Rod Marinelli this week, as his team looks to end an atrocious 10 game losing streak. Detroit is off to its worst start since beginning 0-12 in 2001. Dating back to last season, Detroit has dropped 17 of their last 18 games. If they are looking to end this period of desperation, they’ll have to go through a Tampa Bay team that has won two straight and looking to gain momentum for ... Read Full Story

Two years ago, Broncos quarterback Chris Simms got two shots of his own blood re-injected into his painful throwing elbow. Monday night, Simms had just left a card game with some of his friends when he got a call from one of the remaining players who said his name had just crawled against the bottom of a sports channel as part of a story regarding a Canadian doctor under investigation for human growth hormone and the drug Actovegin. By now, Chris Simms’ career-threatening and possibly life-threatening injury has been well documented. In between giggles from his nemesis' resignation, Jason La Canfora types on NFL Network blog that Jon Gruden isn't going anywhere. From the piece: Snyder has long been enamored with Allen, and with Allen’s father, George, a legendary figure in the Redskins organization, the move is not surprising. The Redskins have yet to put together consecutive winning [...]

Parts of today's Jets-Buccaneers game weren't what one would call pretty football. But make no mistake about it: The Jets' 26-3 triumph at Raymond James Stadium was a defensive thing of beauty. The Green & White "D" was fired up for a near-historic performance that contained the Bucs and their rookie QB, Josh Freeman, to 124 yards and six first downs. Kellen Clemens, playing QB i...
