Natalie Portman Joins Christian Bale in Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups & Lawless
After giving birth to her son back in June, Natalie Portman took a break from acting. Now she is set to to star in two films from Terrence Malick. Deadline reports that she joins Christian Bale and Cate Blanchett in Knight of Cups and Lawless, which are shooting back-to-back. Knights of Cups also stars Isabel Lucas and Lawless has Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara, and Haley Bennett. Knight of Cups shoots this summer and then Lawless will follow in the fall.
We can’t give any more details since the report doesn’t provide anything about the plot from either movie. But the fact that Knight of Cups and Lawless will have Natalie Portman is very exciting. This will be the first time that Portman has worked with Terrance Malick, so her addition should create some very cool buzz. Dealing for both films begins in Berlin tomorrow.
So now that both movies have their cast members set in place, we will have to wait word on when Terrence Malick will finish either movie. There is no release date set for either of them or for the his forthcoming drama starring Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams. Filming for that movie wrapped last year.
