A Word of Caution
Good evening, Folks!
This general subject has been discussed before. This time, however, I’ve been inspired to caution all . . .
Our nation and its government leadership have been and continue to be ordained by God {Romans 13:1}. As Christians we are to pray for our country’s leadership {1st Timothy 2:1-2}, whether we favor the leadership or not.
At the same time, Christians must be discerning, {Hosea 14:9} for leadership does not enable anyone, even those in authority, a license to sin {Isaiah 5:20 & 10:1} – the right to violate God’s Commands. On the contrary!
Should sinful agendas of leadership be identified, we as Christians are commanded to avoid and in no way support those agendas {Joshua 24:15b & Acts 5:29}, no matter what they supposedly are, promote or accomplish.
Two factual examples of sinful agendas to be avoided and not supported, emanating from our governmental leadership, among others, are…
ABORTION:
Violates God’s Commands of, among other Scriptures, Exodus 20:13, Psalm 139:13, Jeremiah 1:5 & Romans 13:9;
HOMOSEXUALITY:
Violates God’s Commands of, among other Scriptures, Leviticus 20:13, Deuteronomy 23:17, Romans 1:27 & 1st Corinthians 6:9.
Another factual and significant concern is divorce, and God hates it {Malachi 2:16}!
All three are destroyers of the family. And the family is the righteous foundation of civilization. Hence, abortion, homosexuality and divorce represent major tools for disruptive and destructive sinful influence used by Satan in his evil war against mankind.
Overlooked and/or ignored by many – including numbers of Christians, due to ignorance of Scripture, is the embracing of the doctrine: “Replacement Theology.” That theology is not only bogus, but extremely dangerous to support.
Posturing against Israel will incite God’s anger and ultimately invite His swift and sure unspeakable wrath! Satan knows this also and relishes in all who scheme and strike-out against Israel.
POSTURING AGAINST ISRAEL:
Violates God’s Commands of, among other Scriptures, Genesis 12:3, Jeremiah 31:33, Acts 3:25 & Hebrews 8:10.
God and His word are one {John 1:1}. All of His Word – Scripture – is inspired by God {2nd Timothy 3:16-17}. In His Word it says that God created the universe {Genesis 1:1} and everything in it, including man {Genesis 1:27}. And Christians – men and women – are to abide in His word {1st Peter 1:23}.
A review of a Prophetic Word imparted to me by The Holy Spirit back in June of 2009 . . .
Politics on the right or on the left really doesn’t make any difference.
Conservatism or liberalism really doesn’t make any difference.
You are looking for resolve in the wrong direction.
You are looking at false messiahs for the answer.
Your conviction for Me is not strong enough.
You will not be restored to your business as usual in My creation.
The Lord God – The Creator of The Universe is The Only Solution.
You must come to Me.
I Am the only Answer.
We talk the talk – some of us – some times. It obviously continues to be only a token effort – if at all – on the part of far too many, especially those in authority and leadership. We’re still not ‘getting it’ – we’re not getting His message. Contrary to His Commands, The Lord is being ignored, for the most part.
Current events clearly reveal that government, military, educational system, business, entertainment, media and family leadership are not listening. Most unfortunately, it must be said that many in the church are not listening either.
You ask… isn’t our Lord a God of incomprehensible love? Of course He is! Yet, be mindful that He is also, among other attributes, a God of perfect order and perfect justice!
How much longer, then, will our Lord afford us His grace in view of our wholesale disobedience to Him? I fear not very much longer!
