Growing Trees for God - Weeding - Biblical Separation
Luke 6:43 - 45
“For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt Fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good Fruit”“For every Tree is Known by his own Fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.”“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”
Proverbs 20:11
“Even a Child is Known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.”
4.) To Grow a Tree (Child) that Lives for God you need to Provide Weeding, (Biblical Separation)
* Weeding - to free from weeds or troublesome plants; root out weeds from: to weed a garden. (Dictionary .com)
* Weed - to rid (something) of undesirable or superfluous elements. (Dictionary .com)
* Biblical Weeding or Separation is need in growing a Child.
* A Parent must set boundaries in a Child’s life and weed out those thing which may cause the children not to Grow for the Lord.
* This may include music, activities (movies & TV), friends, video games, reading material, phone, and Internet.
Proverbs 29:15
“The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.”
Proverbs 22:28
“Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.
* The Ancient Landmark of Separation was Set by God with Israel and should carry over to God’s People today, including the Home - the children need to be taught Biblical Separation.
2 Corinthians 6:11 - 18
“ O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels. Now for a recompense in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Thought to Ponder
Just as weeds need to be uprooted and removed; Parents need to uproot worldly weeds and remove them from a Child's life that they may grow more productive for the Lord.
Caution:
Parents should make sure their lives are free of worldly weeds before trying to uproot worldly weeds from you child's life
