Suspension dampers were retuned using advanced damper valving technology, providing more control without degrading comfort; redesigning the front suspension cradle isolators cut shake on uneven road surfaces; while revised front strut mounts brought better isolation and less impact noise on rough surfaces. The car was lowered 12 mm in front and 6 mm in back for better steering response; in addition, the torsion bar and intermediate shaft isolator rates were increased for a more precise feel.
In addition:
* The geometry was modified to increasing rear roll-steer, improving lane change stability
* Spring rates and the size of the front and rear stabilizer bar diameters were increased, reducing body roll and increasing steering sensitivity
* Steering precision and durability were improved by retuning the rear suspension link bushings
* Rear suspension bushings, including the toe, camber, and spring links, incorporate larger bushings and ball joints for increased lateral stiffness
* New rear knuckles and larger diameter bushings increased the roll center height, camber gain, and roll understeer resulting in improved steering and cornering response

The new exterior includes LED taillamps, LED running lights, and new wheels; while the four cylinder engine carries forward (with a standard six-speed automatic), the suspension was redesigned and the 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 with 283 horsepower (260 lb-ft) replaces the old 2.7 liter V6… with better gas mileage. — 19 city, 29 highway ratings. The four cylinder, ironically, has a lower gas mileage rating of 18 city, 29 highway.
With the V6, Chrysler is quoting 0-60 times of under 7 seconds.
Standard safety features include active head restraints, electronic stability control with traction control and Brake Assist, front-seat-mounted side air bags, side-curtain air bags, and four-wheel anti-lock brakes (ABS). Uconnect® Voice Command is optional. Another standard feature are the bright bi-function halogen projector automatic headlamps with LED light pipe accents, and LED taillamps.
Even the base model will have 17 inch aluminum wheels and audio controls on the wheel. Chrysler anticipates that very few 200 Convertibles will be the LX model (which does not even appear on recent materials), given the high content of the Touring and Limited.
Starting at $32,490, the Chrysler 200 S has unique exterior styling, including a unique front grille, Chrysler badge with a black background, body color mirrors and door handles, black background headlamps, and 18-inch aluminum wheels with dark pinted pockets and “S” badging. The V6 is standard.
