The Sacramento Kings have agreed to a multiyear contract with power forward/center Chuck Hayes just days after voiding a deal because of a failed physical.
Hayes’ four-year deal is worth $22.4 million — more than $1 million more than the $21.3 million contract that was voided on Monday.
The 6-foot-6, 250-pound undrafted product out of Kentucky started 63 out of 74 games at center last season for the Houston Rockets.

The Sacramento Kings voided Chuck Hayes ‘ $21.3 million, four-year contract Monday, saying the forward-center failed a physical that forced his release.
Kings general manager Geoff Petrie said in a statement Monday that informing Hayes his deal had been voided was “one of the most heartbreaking moments of my professional or personal life.” He said Hayes asked the team to refrain from any further comment.
