MLS Clubs release protected lists ahead of Wednesday's Expansion Draft

Clubs can protect 11 players ahead of the 10-round draft for the Montreal Impact, which will join MLS next year.

A team can only lose one player.

Wonder if Impact Coach Jesse Marsch will take a player from his most recent former club, Chivas USA? Will he bring home Canadian Ante Jazic, a solid addition to any expansion team's backline?

Jovan Kirovski, 35, is not on either the protected or unprotected lists for the Galaxy, suggesting he will retire. Kirovski made just two starts and played 244 total minutes.

And Juan Pablo Angel was protected by Chivas USA, which could well mean he will stay with the Goats another year at least.

Full details are here, but here are the players the two local MLS clubs left unprotected:

Galaxy - Sean Alvarado, Chad Barrett, Chris Birchall, Paulo Cardozo, Adam Cristman, Leonardo, Frankie Hejduk, Hector Jimenez, Bryan Jordan, Daniel Keat, Miguel Lopez, Dustin McCarty, Brian Perk, Dasan Robinson, Michael Stephens, Ryan Thomas

Chivas USA - Sergio Arias, Andrew Boyens, Chukwudi Chijindu, Chris Cortez, Laurent Courtois, Simon Elliot, Victor Estupinan, Blair Gavin, Ante Jazic, David Junior Lopes, Michael Lahoud, Gerson Mayen, Marco Mondaini, Zach Thornton, Mariano Trujillo, Zarek Valentin,
