Did The Bengals Suddenly Get Good, Or Was It A Slow Burn?

By abaseballnut on  From footballticketsonline.com
Some people have noted that it seems like the Bengals are suddenly good in their front office, suddenly solid, and suddenly not stupid.  Is that the case, or have they been on a very slow grind to get them to this point?  I think it’s been a slow grind, and I’ll tell you why. Marvin Lewis.  He has been there for quite some time now, and they have not let him go because I think they also saw that, if they could be consistent in one position with a guy who knows what he’s doing, that they could...Read Full Story

Former Cincinnati Bengals safety Chris Crocker visited with the Detroit Lions on Tuesday, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.  The free agent defensive back left Detroit without a contract and has a scheduled visit with the Cardinals next and possibly the San Francisco 49ers after that. Burfict Signs with Bengals

By abaseballnut on  From footballticketsonline.com
Trouble.  That should be the middle name of Arizona State Linebacker Vontaze Burfict.  Burfict lasted through all 7 rounds of the NFL draft over the weekend without being selected.  That should have been a clue he needs to clean up his attitude. However just after the draft, reports surfaced Burfict was going to sign a free agent contract with the Cincinnati Bengals.  Fair enough, they need depth at that position.  However Burfict proved how out of touch he is with how he comes across to the...Read Full Story

By Robert D. Cobb on  From profootballzone.com
According to Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net, the Cincinnati Bengals and head coach Marvin Lewis are hoping that Alabama linebacker Courtney Upshaw is available when they’re on the clock with the 21st overall pick in the first round.
