Want to get Nancy Pelosi out of Congress? Republicans may have an unusual savior in 2008.

Among our many victories in 2004 was the victory of Republican candidate John Thune over then-Democratic Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle. I still consider Senator Thune’s victory in that race one of the most defining of the entire election cycle, every bit as important as the re-election victory of President Bush over Senator John Kerry.

I don’t expect another hugely victorious year for the Republican Party in 2008 with John McCain as our Presidential candidate, in fact I completely expect us to lose even more seats on top of the ones we lost in 2006. That’s why I’m working so hard for Republican congressional candidates this year.

But what if I told you we could force the Democratic Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, OUT of Congress? Nancy Pelosi is obviously the obnoxious and deafening liberal Representative from the city of San Francisco. So how the blazes can the GOP oust her?

It may sound completely crazy and off the wall… but we need to support Cindy Sheehan. That’s right, the woman who made her living getting thrown off government property and into local and county jails. She’s the one who sat outside the President’s ranch in Crawford, Texas for days without end to protest the War on Terrorism, suggest a 9/11 cover-up, and demand the impeachment of President Bush.

Sheehan is running as an independent candidate in San Francisco against Speaker Pelosi and the incredibly liberal nature of San Francisco could potentially be what does Nancy in.

In addition to possibly ousting Nancy Pelosi, supporting Cindy Sheehan does two things. First, Democrats are going to spend MILLIONS of dollars in San Francisco to defend the seat of one of their most prominent leaders. That’s millions of dollars that can’t be spent against our energetic Republican candidates like Bob Clegg, Mitch Daniels, Gayle Harrell, Jack Hoogendyk, Jeb Bradley, Mike Pence, and Mike Sodrel.

Second, it will force the center of the Democratic party to move their debate to the left in order to save Pelosi’s hide. It’s going to be difficult for Pelosi to stay in a comfortable lead in San Francisco while Democrats across the country try appealing to moderate evangelical voters and other traditional Republican voting blocks. Something would have to break, and Nancy Pelosi doesn’t seem like the sort willing to sacrifice herself for her liberal causes.

Remember, since she’s running as an independent and against a beloved liberal leader in Congress. If she wins, she will be completely black balled by both Republicans and Democrats if she’s elected. It would completely neutralize San Francisco’s enormous influence over Congress. By the time she’s sworn in, she wouldn’t even be able to try and impeach President Bush.

Right now, Sheehan is looking for just 1,000 people to donate $86 to her campaign.
