Here’s a good page on L-Tyrosine and it shows the full metabolic pathway. Side effects are from large doses. I’d say try it, go slow and note how you feel. I’d also recommend a book: The Edge Effect: Achieve Total Health and Longevity with the Balanced Brain Advantage. He has a complete questionnaire that helps you pinpoint which of the four main neuro chemicals you lack: serotonin, dopamine, GABA or acytlcholine. Then he tells you how to increase (nutritional, exercises etc.)
- PeaceAvoid Dangerous Contaminants By Using Natural Fertilizer
Article by Natural Fertilizer Guy
Whether you’re just starting out or you’re a seasoned gardener, it’s of vital importance that you be knowledgeable of the hazardous contaminants in chemical fertilizers. Unfortunately, maybe it’s a lack of knowledge or merely standing firm on old habits, but many gardeners fail to see the danger in using chemical fertilizers, especially in their own backyard.
Most of us garden because we desire fresh, healthy, toxin free fruits and vegetables. And I believe it’s safe to say that most of us don’t want hazardous chemicals sprayed onto our naturally growing produce. Yet, oftentimes, us gardeners tend to become inconsistent as far as what we actually desire for our garden and what we actually put into practice (i.e., using chemical fertilizers).
Chemical or artificial fertilizers, like the ones sitting in your garage, are manufactured and sold containing harmful toxins. What you get if you apply chemical fertilizers is a very toxic environment in your own backyard.
Think about the following.
Did you know that acids found in your chemical fertilizers increase the acidity of the soil, thus reducing the soils nutrients and inhibiting plant growth?
Or are you aware that the structure of the soil can actually be destroyed by certain contaminants in chemical fertilizers because they over-stimulate the soil? As a result, ruining the structure of the soil not only causes multiple problems now in this growing season, but also for future ones to come.
Want another surprise? Adding artificially created fertilizers to your plants can actually attract extra bugs and insects. (I’m not talking about the good ones either!) Bugs love nitrogen-rich environments. Strengthened by the nitrogen, the bugs feasting on your fresh produce will not only live longer but will also be more fertile than before. Just what you need, right? Longer-lasting, reproducing pests, a gardener’s dream!
And on a side note, if you are at all environmentally conscious, excess nitrogen and phosphorous found in your fertilizer can be extremely hazardous not only to plants and the soil in which they are found but to your water sources as well.
The next time you get a chance, grab the bag of fertilizer you have and read the list of ingredients. Do a little research and look up the ingredients that you are unfamiliar with. If you care at all for your garden, if you care at all about the produce you hope to grow and enjoy, and if you care at all about the environment around you, then I challenge and encourage you to take time to find the best natural fertilizer available.
